This year’s conference will provide participants with professional networking opportunities and presentations that will motivate and inspire our work in this important field. This is the national conference for humane educators! ![]() 2025 Conference Locations APHE's 2025 Conference will be taking place in the heart of downtown Kansas City, MO, at the Cascade Hotel, Kansas City April 30th - May 2nd, 2025. Based on member feedback, our popular conference mixer will take place in the Cascade Hotel the evening of Tuesday, April 29th - prior to the conference starting on April 30th. Our annual APHE Dinner and Nathania Gartman Heroes Award presentation will take place from 6-9pm on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, location to be announced soon! New this year, we will be offering an optional half day of learning lab sessions in lieu of the pre-conference workshops. These sessions will be hosted on Friday, May 2nd at Wayside Waifs. Additional registration required; light breakfast, lunch and transportation will be provided! Also new this year, we will be facilitating (optional) conference buddies for new attendees or those nervous about coming to the conference alone. Learn more below! APHE encourages 2025 conference attendees to reserve rooms at the Cascade Hotel, Kansas City, our official conference hotel and venue! Reserve a room using our discounted group rate of $199 plus tax for a Double Queen or Single King room April 29th - May 3rd. The last day to reserve a room using our group rate is Friday, April 4th, 2025. Transportation to and from hotel: The Cascade Hotel, Kansas City is 23 miles from Kansas City International Airport. Ground transportation information from the airport can be found here. The Cascade does not provide shuttle service.
